We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Counter Sales Representative based out of Calgary, AB location (3909A Manchester Road SE, Calgary AB).


POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused professional to support both branch sales and warehouse operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless daily operations—from assisting customers and processing orders to maintaining accurate inventory and coordinating shipments.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person with professionalism and technical expertise.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products, pricing, availability, and alternative solutions.
  • Present alternatives and solutions considering pricing, specifications, compatibility, and availability.
  • Provide reliable updates on product availability, shipment status, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment and resolve issues.
  • Help maintain an organized, stocked, and professional counter area.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and repeat customers.
  • Support inventory counts and maintain accurate system information.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional branch presence.
  • Perform other branch and counter-related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in Industrial MRO, fasteners, components, or related environment is required.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools.
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Honest, dependable, and punctual with a proactive work ethic.
  • Capable of following written instructions, safety procedures, and documented processes.
  • Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel), and ERP/order entry systems.
  • Working knowledge of business math including pricing, measurements, ratios, and basic algebra.
