We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Industrial Counter Sales based out of Lethbridge, AB location (3437 – 12th Street NE).
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused professional to support both branch counter & customer sales in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless daily operations—from assisting customers and processing orders to maintaining accurate inventory and coordinating shipments.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide prompt, professional service to walk-in customers and respond to product inquiries in person, by phone, and by email
- Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products, pricing, availability, and alternative solutions
- Process sales transactions, quotes, special orders, and returns accurately while communicating order status, shipment details, and delivery timelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and repeat customers to support branch sales
- Collaborate with the Outside Sales team to providing sourcing, quoting, logistics, etc. for product
- Timely merchandising of stock & general upkeep of the counter, storefront, etc.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Assist with scheduled physical inventory counts
- Uphold company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional branch and warehouse presence
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in Industrial MRO, fasteners, tools, components, or related environment is required
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Solid problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Honest, dependable, and punctual with a proactive work ethic
- Capable of following written instructions, safety procedures, and documented processes
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel), and ERP/order entry systems
- Working knowledge of business math including pricing, measurements, ratios, and basic algebra
