Warehouse Lead - (Rocky View County, AB)

We’re looking for a Warehouse Lead based out of our Rocky View County, AB location. In this role, you will assist the warehouse management team in coordinating warehouse operations, developing supervisory skills to achieve this purpose, and training & development warehouse staff in order to meet current and future needs
- This location is not easy to access via public transit (101, 293029 James Jones Way, Rocky View County, AB), individuals should have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
- Hours for this location are 7:30 am to 4:10 pm, however, a variant of an 8-hour day with a 30-minute unpaid break, in a full-time position may occur.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient flow of inbound and outbound materials
- Assist in supervising warehouse staff, including training, assigning tasks, and providing ongoing support
- Maintain accurate inventory control using SAP and ensure timely, accurate processing of shipments
- Monitor and address non-conforming materials, including system coordination and resolution
- Promote and uphold company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard work instructions and procedures
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams regarding operations and issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean activities
- Support achievement of productivity, quality, and safety goals
- Attend meetings and contribute to operational planning and problem-solving
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years' related warehouse experience including at least 1 year in a lead position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- SAP, MS Office, and Lean experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as effective listening skills.
- Able to lead and influence others to achieve the business objectives. Able to lead department meetings to provide feedback, goals and operational updates.
- Able to think strategically and make fact-based decisions in a timely manner with limited information and a rapid assimilation of the facts.
- Able to analyze data with an operational understanding to identify, prevent, and solve problems.
- Able to multi-task, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift and carry up 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to spend extended periods of time standing, walking, bending, etc
- Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination for branch equipment
